The Most Awsome Shoes On Earth, April 8, 2005

A Kid's Review

Chuck Taylor Converse All-Star shoes are, by far, the best shoes you could ever have the pleasure of slipping your feet into each day! I own three high rise (black, pink, orange), and two low rise (green, red), and if you are in indecision about getting a pair, GET THEM! Whether you get the All-Stars or the skateboard style, you will NOT regret your decision! You can see them all at www.conversegallery.com, so check it out! These shoes are incredibly durable, and provide comfortable ankle support, making it easy to move aroung as fast as you want; you have to keep up with the shoes, not vice versa! These are basketball shoes, so they are great for running, basketball, soccer, and sport you could think of! Or, they could be just casual shoes. Another wonderful feature is that they are uni-sex, so guys and girls can wear them! Converse All-Stars RULE!

The New Balance Men's M587 Running Shoe has been an excellent running shoe. It has a built in rollbar that prevent shin-splints and the shoes are extremely comfortable to run-in. I have been buying this shoe for over four years and two deployments to Iraq. I recommend this shoe to any runner that runs 4-5 times a week.

No shoe or brand is going to work for everyone, but I'm convinced the New Balance 587 is the best one for me. I'm a big ol' fat boy (6'2", 210lbs) with feet that are stupid wide (13EEEE). I started running in my late 40s and ran my first marathon at age 49, and I haven't used any other running shoe for the past several years. When I hit 350-400 miles, I get a new pair, convert my running pair to my walking pair, and throw out the current walking pair.

In November of 2007 I was a USMC recruit, and these were the 'go-fasters' (our term for sneakers) i was issued. i think i can help clear up some of the mixed reviews here by letting you know something; these were the sneakers issued to FLAT FOOTED recruits, which lends credence to those reviewers who thought they were odd and uncomfortable. i'm pretty sure these were built for the flat footed individual in mind, and that being said these were the best, most comfortable sneakers i've ever owned.

These shoes are so light that sometimes I forget I have them on. They are so comfortable than I don't want to take them off. I have to walk a lot every day and I am not kidding when I said that any other pair of shoes make my feet sore after a few hours of use, but these shoes do the job to perfection.

I highly recommend them.

I purchased this pair based upon the excellent reviews it had received. It lived up to the hype, and I'm very happy with this purchase.

The New Balance Men's M587 is extremely comfortable to wear, and it has a massive sole to support and balance your feet properly during running. It can worn both at the gym and are great for casual wear as well.

Two thumbs up from me...highly recommended!

I've been using New Balance running shoes for some 20 years now, and the M587 (and its predecessors, the M586 and M585) for much of that time. When I started using New Balance shoes I stopped having the troubles with my knees that I'd been having with other running shoes. I go almost everywhere in the M587--I even teach my university courses wearing the M587! The M587 is simply the best running shoe--and most comfortable shoe of any type--that I've ever owned. I hope to keep using the M587 well into the new milenium. I might also add that Amazon.com prices the M587 substantially below the price charged by my previous online supplier.

I've been running in the 587's and their predecessors for years. I'm a heavier person that needs an especially wide shoe (4E with a SL-2 last helps)with support and they are them. Keep up the good work and don't change anything.

I am on my third pair of these and they are great. I jog about 12 miles a week, so I normally get a new pair every year. Since the old pair is still good, I simply keep them as walking shoes.

The 587 is light and very breathable (not good for cold weather). Cushion is enough, but I would like more. It is also durable, I could have wearing them for over 2 years, easy.

I used to get those inexpensive running shoes and once I go with the 587, I am not going back. As a matter of fact, it is time for me to get a new pair!

I've owned New Balance shoes, as well as other brands, since 1977. Their quality is unsurpassed. When running in the harsh winters of northern New York, they stand up. It's especially nice to know they're made in one of six New Balance factories in the United States. In addition, I have a wide foot. Few brands offer width-sizing for my EE-size foot.
