I've destroyed several pairs of shoes in my 15 years of skateboarding and these are one of the best pairs I've ridden in. First off, the sole is substantial, with a rubber that's slightly harder than average. This is nice because what you would normally loose in board feel is mitigated with a slightly harder, yet more responsive material. Toe protection is good. You don't feel like your going to loose your nails in these. The slide protection is great. I wasn't able to break through the first layer of suede before I wore out the sole, which took me much longer than average. The shape of the shoe is good for those with a wider foot. Non of the stitching broke while I had them. My only gripe with this shoe was that I was constantly breaking laces. Maybe I'll get some thin gauge cables to replace them next time. Overall this pair is great for those who like a medium weight shoe that offers a good balance between protection and feel. Not to mention their good looking, A beautiful example of classic skate shoe symmetry. Not quite as good looking as the AL50s, but they will last much longer.

Good quality shoes, fit very well, comfy, and durable so far. I'll try updating in a month of use. So far these shoes are very stylish. Quite expensive though, ended up paying $80 for these with shipping included. I believe they are worth it.

DC's are great anyhow. Super comfortable, and cool looking too. Also the quality is great. My son loves DC's more than Adidas Shell Toes! I guess it's because of the comfort level. ;)
The shoes have a nice soft, but smooth feel and are very comfortable. DC shoes are also very durable and stylish.
