Review Scarpa Mens Manhattan Sneaker Taupe
If you are looking for a casual tennis shoe that has style and substance, this is a great shoe. I had bought a pair of Scarpa trail shoes about 18 months before I bought these. Never heard of the Scarpa brand, but they were 60% off, so I could not pass on the value....let me tell you, they are great shoes! Comfortable and durable.
The Manhattan Sneaker is not quite as comfortable, nor is it meant to be. This is a fashion tennis shoe made for casual use, but the the quality of the materials and the construction is excellent. I wear them to work (creative office)quite a bit and on the weekends.
One note of caution, they will stain easily because of the light coloring so if you buy a pair, make sure you treat the leather right away with some leather/suede water and stain protector.
I will probably order another pair before they discontinue this style. I hope they don't, but I made this mistake before with other shoes that I love where the company will discontinue a popular model just to change up the style or due to material costs. Timberland pretty much ruined the "power lounger" model by changing it into a casual slip-on that had no utility.
