Review Merrell Mens Glove Barefoot Sneakers

Merrell Mens Glove Barefoot Sneakers

I've had my Merrell Edge Glove barefoots for about 3 weeks now, and they are absolutely phenomenal. It's the lightest shoe I've ever owned, but they definitely don't seem to sacrifice toughness at all, or sexiness for that matter. I've seen other barefoot sneakers that look somewhat alien, and would be totally inappropriate in most settings. I wear these to work, school, to work out, or to go out on the town. I ride a bike as my transportation, and these soles have a wonderful grip. This is my first "barefoot" type of shoe, and I have to say I probably won't ever get anything else after this. This is also my only review so far after buying numerous items from Amazon. I feel compelled to share my experience with this amazing shoe.

Favorite feature about this shoe:
The toe space is wide. There is ample wiggle room, so coming to a sudden stop or changing directions quickly does not cause discomfort as many shoes I've owned have. Super comfortable under strenuous straining.

Least favorite feature about this shoe:
The stock shoelaces feel fairly insubstantial, like they won't withstand too much weathering or jerking on the laces... But seriously... it's just shoelaces.

Nice minimalist walking shoe. May work in the gym as well but I have not done so. My feet do seem to get sweaty in these as they have essentially no sole to absorb anything.

These have become my dress shoes! They are so comfortable and good looking...I don't know why I would wear anything else.

My son reported to me that he loves the shoes. He likes them because they are lightweight and have the support he needs to run in them. He said, they are the best running shoes that he has ever had.

These are my first Barefoot shoes. I chose this design so I could use it everyday, either at work, or at home. I don't think i'm ever going back to normal shoes again.

I have a rare form of neuropathy which makes walking (in shoes) very difficult. I am more balanced walking barefooted. So! when wearing shoes is somewhat difficult. I have tried so! many different style, brands of walking shoes. But! all ended up with still feeling as if I was wearing shoes with lead soles!. I was at the gym and my trainer had a pair of Merrell's Trail Glove Barefoot's. they looked so comfortable on his feet and almost more like a sock with a rubber sole than a traditional athletic shoe. He said they were the best athletic shoe he has ever worn. He runs in them, trains in them and wears them as a casual shoe.

So! I decided to invest in a pair of Merrell Barefoot's. I choose this style (buck). I wear them everyday. to work, at home, out. Only shoe I wear now,, except occasional Merrell sandals, :). Merrell makes some of the best and most comfortable footwear.. I am a true and loyal customer now. As I am writing this review I am actually purchasing YET! another pair. (blue).

Comfortable. You'll forget you have them on. No heel-to-toe drop. The brown ones can work as office shoes (at least out West). They're light and great for traveling because you can use them for both running and walking. I recommend them for people like me who want to avoid an elevated heel.

I'm not much of a runner since the three knee operations back in my high school days, but I am a big fan of the "minimalist" type footware. I own a pair of Vibram Fivefingers that are used quite a bit for weight lifting and random errands around town. I would wear them constantly, but I don't think that they would be covered by my office's business casual dress policy.

Enter the Merrell Edge Gloves. The bracken color is dark enough to pass for office shoes unless under close scrutiny (and close scrutiny usually results in questions about how I like them rather than their appropriateness). The shoes are quite comfortable with either Thorlo Boot Socks in the winter for warmth, or with injinji Toesocks in summer (I prefer the Injinji, as they allow more toe wiggle). My ankles/legs did seem a bit more sore for the first few days as I wasn't used to wearing minimalist shoes every day, but this quickly went away as my feet and legs got used to the new stride.

The one downside to these shoes is the fact that my trousers are now a bit too long in the leg, and I sometimes find myself catching the cuff of my trousers under the heel of the shoe. I didn't have this problem with my thicker soled shoes. But hey, I get to buy a whole new wardrobe of Mountain Khakis!

The shoes are great. very comfortable and so lightweight that I thought I received an empty box. Great mix of casual dress with kick around shoe. I got them for work where I'm on my feet all day and they work great.
